In order that we start to raise some money for our class charity we need to decide on a fundraising event. Have a look at the poll below and cast your vote. Remember to think about how much money it would cost to put on, how many people would contribute, and how much we might make?

After your charity presentations the class chose WWF (World Wildlife Fund) for their class charity – so well done Amaryllis for persuading the class. Now its time to raise some money for our chosen charity. You home learning task is to come up with an idea to raise money for WWF. It needs to be a plan which won’t cost much to run, so we can maximise the amount we raise. Click on the image to link to WWFs website if you need inspiration. So get your thinking caps on and present your idea to me by Thursday 6th October.
Fox Poetry on Google Docs
This morning in Literacy we completed our unit of poetry with a session creating poems about Foxes using similies. We worked collaboratively to create this presentation of the poems, editing our first drafts with our response partners as we went along.
What do you think of our poems? What did we do well? Are there any phrases you particularly like? What could we improve on next time?

Some great photographs have been brought in as part of our What Barcombe Means To Me home learning from last week. If you haven’t managed to get one in, please do so as soon as you can. We’d like to have as many people represented by the display we’re creating of them.
This week’s home learning task is related to our class charity. We need to choose a class charity and its up to you to suggest one and persuade the class that they should vote for it. Think carefully about what sort of charity the Foxes would want to support. Once you have decided on one, decide on how you can persuade the class to choose your one. On Thursday 22nd you will have time to present your chosen charity to the class and we will have a vote to decide the Fox Class Charity for 2011-12!
You can work individually on this, or team up to persuade the class as a group. Good Luck!
