Home Learning – 26-10-2012

26 Oct

What a long term and well done to all the Badgers for working so hard. Well done too for the great assembly you did yesterday.  As its the half-term break next week I thought I’d give you a couple of choices for your Home Learning Task. Be as creative as you can. We’ll be looking at the earth and beyond in the next term,so I’d like you to either create a piece of art inspired by the moon, or write a poem inspired by the moon.  You can post the poems as comments on the blog, or write them in your home learning books. Artwork can be presented however you like.  Have a great break Badgers!

    The Moon

    When the moon came out,
    I gave a shout,
    My mum came out,
    She gave me a clout,
And asked, “what is all the noise about?”

I like the rhyme William. Great ideas. Why did you shout when you saw the moon?

    My moon poem

The moon is big, the moon is round,
There’s not a piece of cheese to be found!
Is there a man on the moon? Who knows?
It might be fun to go I suppose.
    Without gravity you can jump
and come back down to earth with a bump!
    ( And a thump)

Great little poem Sophie. I like the variety of sentence starts and choice of words. Remember, poems don’t have to rhyme. Star
