The Roman Invasion Ends

30 Mar

Well done everyone for working so hard over the last few weeks. We’ve had a really varied end of term; with yoga, zumba, Fishbourne, swimming and willow weaving, as well as our usual lessons.  We’ve finished our Roman Invasion learning journey, and will be moving on to a new learning journey after Easter called London Calling. This will be based around the London 2012 Olympics and the city of London itself.  Over the Easter Break why not have a go at some of the tasks identified on the London Calling whole school home learning sheet sent home today.

We have held the Olympics 3 times including 2012, these are the years 1908, 1948 and 2012.The tallest building in london is the shard which is 1,016ft and 309.7 metres. There are 300 events in the Olympics.Because we have 28 people in class i multiplied 4×28 for how many countries as we did flags in class and the answer is 112 but i looked on the internet as well and it said 205 countries were going to participate but then i went on the internet to see how many countries there were in the world and it was in the 100s so i don’t know about that one.(this is my homework).
