School Garden Project

22 Nov

On Thursday, Fox class will be planting the first vegetables in the school garden. We’ll be doing this at the start of the morning; so if children could come to school in suitable clothing (including suitable footwear such as wellies) and bring their school uniform to change into afterwards that would be great.

I am really exited about the garden thing. Should I bring in “wellies” in or school shoes.

    Hi Mr Cobb’s class,
At our school we also have a class vegetable patch. Ours is just outside our door in a little courtyard. We have a raised bed that is about 1 metre off the ground, a herb garden and a corner garden that is a bit shaded, so it only grows things during summer. We have peas, corn, tomatoes and garlic in it at the moment. We love to just go out and eat the peas at the moment. Our biggest problem is birds and sometimes possums eating our produce. Do you have any pests?
