Has the original bible been destroyed or does someone still own it.

the bible was written over a huge period of time starting perhaps before 1000bc when King David was writing his Psalms all the way through to John writing the last book in the bible perhaps 70ad or even later (so that’s 40 years after Jesus died and rose again). in 1947 the Dead Sea Scolls were found and they date to 100ad and show that the copies made were very accurate – they took their copying really seriously.
I have laernt that Dinosaus were mentiond in the bible

Hmm maybe mentioned – the pecualiar beast in the book of Job but they’re not in the beginning bit – most likely because the beginning tells us Why we’re here and what God is like and we don’t need to know about Dinosaurs but they are fun but not that important.

Why dont people who are dead come down from haven but jesus did
July 13, 2011 at 3:44 pm
Jesus rose from the dead – yes but he left those who had died in heaven – the phrase sometimes used in the bible is “asleep”. the promise is that at the end both the Living and the Dead will come together for a final judgement – that probably raises more questions than it answers!
Are heaven and hell real. 🙂 😦

Quick answer Yes – Long answer is Probably not in the way that we see it in Art (angels on clouds playing harps) – the bible speaks of a New Heaven and a New Earth – so God recycles everything that can be – if there’s anything left that can’t be, Or if there are people that don’t want to be part of God’s world then okay, God won’t make them. We call that hell. Jesus’s favourite metaphor for hell was the valley of ghenna where the rubbish was burned. its about 5mins walk south of Jerusalem!

why did god create dinosours anyway ?
July 13, 2011 at 3:47 pm
Hmm toughie, God likes creating its fun. He also made stars and planets that we can barely see. Maybe He made them for Himself?
have you ever heard god speak to you
July 13, 2011 at 3:48 pm
Yes I think so but its too long a story to type up here so ask me sometime about the Angel and the Fire extinguisher!

did you ever belive in any other god
July 13, 2011 at 2:39 pm
I hae learnd a lot about Jesus and God the thing I didn’t know about is the dinosour Question about it not being in the bible. 🙂 PS do you think the world will expload or be destroyed by something?
July 13, 2011 at 3:49 pm
I don’t know enough Cosmology to know if the world will blow up etc. but the bible talks about a final day of judgement and that doesn’t read like a very nice day and it talks about God then making a new heaven and a new earth.

I really liked the way that dad explained it clearly, I also liked the way he awnserd how do you know god exsist because he went through the argument that how do we know that billy’s mum really loves her son and we had to try and work out how we would know. I also liked some of the awnsers pepol came up with, my awnser was to put a CCTV camra in billy’s room and see if his mum read stories and kiss him good night and dad thought that that was a good idea.

Q.How could the human race ‘spread’ if Adam and Eve only had sons?
Y.Because they lived thousands of years ago, they could have had girls that just were never mentioned in the bible.
July 13, 2011 at 2:52 pm
why was the bible created? 😉
