Home Learning 31-03-2010

31 Mar

Its the Easter break and we all deserve a nice long break.  However, I know how you like to be prepared for the term ahead, so here is your task for the holidays.  It will help you be prepared for the next learning journey on the Local Environment.

Your task is to photograph key things in your own local environment.  What is important to you?   What natural features are near your house? You can print off the images, but better still bring them in on a disk or memory stick (we’re going to add them to Flickr and a Google Map next term).

A second task is to think of a great name for our learning journey – something which really inspires our learning and is connected to the local environment theme. Add your suggestions as a comment on the blog.

Finally a reminder to all of you to keep on writing about your reading on the VLE reading journal.  Each time you finish a book (or more often) write a review of it.  What do you like about it?  What is your favourite character?  What might happen next?

Have a great Easter!

Nice Ideas ST (and the others who have posted responses). Might try the Twitterverse too to see if anyone has a good idea for a name.
