Proverbs and Wise Sayings

We’re looking at wise sayings in RE and here is a game which gets you to match the proverb to the meaning.  Have a go and see if you understand the proverb.

Why not ask your family for their favourite wise words or proverbs – they can comment them on this post.

    here are some proberbs:
    never count your chickens before they’ve hatched!
    don’t put all of your eggs in your baskets!

    My Mum’s favourite proverb is why put off till tomorrow, what you can do today.

    Here is a proverb a cat may look at a king it means. An inferior king isnt completly restricted in what they do in the presence of a superior.

    here are two nice proverbs:

    two many cooks spoil the broth(old word for soup) – if there are too many people doing something they can get in each other’s way

    and A stitch in time saves nine – if you fix somrething soon it won’t all go wrong
