Have a look at this website and comment about the type of pattern used on these islamic design rugs.  Have a go recreating them using this shape activity.

    We like the Turkey, Bergama one because the two colours go well together and the shapes are nicely put together.

    The rug number 4 made our eyes ground and round.

    Most of the rugs genrally have square patterns and have very strait lines. Some of them may have round shapes around the edges and occasionally in the middle but they are all symetrical in some way!

    We liked the spain carpet because of the shapes but the colours are quiite dull..

    We liked some of the rugs.
    But most of them were boring.

    We like the one with the triangle and stary ones but the colour was boring.
    I liked the stary one as well .

    We like the Central Asain rugsthey have cool coloursand there cemetrical patterens

    All the rugs have completely different patterns.they are all very detailed.

    We liked some of the rugs.
    But most of them were boring.

    We like the one with the triangle and starry ones but the colour was boring.
    I liked the starry one as well.

    BERGAMA
    we think this rug is deeply patterned and complicated it is blue and different shades of red we think it is not modern enough for our living rooms .
    (we have veery high standerds)

    We think the rug designing is really fun and it is a good way of doing Muslim art on the computer!

    We liked some of the rugs because some of the colours and patterns went together really well.
    We particuly liked number 28 because of the colours and the patterns which went together really well!
