Solids and Liquids

12 Dec

We’ve been looking at solids and liquids in Science and I want you to comment about what you have found out. Let me know what solids and liquids are? What is special about them? Whatever you can tell me, comment about it.

We found out that atoms in a solid are titly packed and are vibrating. The atoms in a liquid are moving around slightly and not touching also the atoms in gas are moving around so much that they come out of thier container if It doesn’t have a lid on! ! !

From liquid to solid is freezing and from solid to liquid is melting.

We have enjoyed our topic of solids and liquids and gases in science. We learnt that a solid is something hard and cannot break very easly. Also we learnt that a liquid is something runny (e.g) water, paint, rain and loads more. A gas is like smoke.
Thank you for teaching us this topic we really enjoyed it.

liquid Atoms take the shape of the container they are in.
solid atoms gently vibrate, liquid Atoms move around and last but not least gas atoms go completly haywire!!!
