    Great FM/EJ. How do they worship? What do they actually do? Have a look at http://www.vivekananda.btinternet.co.uk/interactiveworship.htm as it has an online puja.

    Each shrine will also contain a puja tray which holds 7 items

    FM/EJ. Explain what a shrine is and where it is? Imagine I have no idea about hinduism, what information do I need about worship at home?

    worshippers offer food to the god’s(e.g fruit & rice). Hidus have shrins at home and puja for 2 howers daliy

    worshipers will light the lamp and move it around
    in circles to bring light to the shrine in their home.

    Worshipers offer food, friut,rice and flowers at the shrine for the gods they bless the blessed food is called pashad.

    Hindus will offer water to the gods on a spoon.This is to show respect to the gods.

    Hindus belive in only one god ,yet many ,they belive in one called Brahman who they belive is everywhere.

    Has anyone discovered the significance of the coconut in puja? Perhaps you can research this and let the class know.

    They put a tikka on there head.

    We found out that tikkas are a sign that gods blesed them.
    They ring the bell to invite god too there house.

    Worshippers will make a paste out of the red kum kum powder.
    Thay paint a tikka the forehead.
